Northern Territory

The Northern Territory is an amazing place - it's contrast brought upon by the wet and dry seasons are astounding. At the "Top End" of the region, for much of the year lush vegitation florishes but during the dry season the plains are dry and dusty and seemingly devoid of life. In the wet season the rivers  flood their banks and the surrounding plains and it appears as if the whole country is under water. Then the cycle continues as the water evaporates or flows to the sea, exposing the plains once more to the wildlife.

Further south in the Red Centre the landscapes are confined to arid, ancient formations. Here the marvels of Ayers Rock (Uluru), The Olgas and Kings Canyon reside.
